MasterMined Innovation

Advisory and engineering

Engineering across the mining value chain.

Surface and underground. Mining expertise, backed by our own simulation platforms.

Capability

What we cover.

Geotechnical

Slope stability, ground support, caveability.

Mine planning and design

Strategic design, sequencing, life-of-mine schedules.

Caving and mass mining

Block cave, sublevel cave, sublevel open stoping.

Materials handling

Passes, conveyors, hoisting, fleet and electrification.

Ventilation and infrastructure

Ventilation, power and services.

Simulation

Whole-system models in GreenLeap and FlowCycle.

Studies and cost

PEA to feasibility, cost and risk.

Hydrogeology

Groundwater, dewatering and site water balance.

Study maturity review

The FISA framework.

An independent maturity review for open pit and underground mining projects, from Concept and PEA through to Feasibility. Every discipline is tested, and every finding is judged against what is normal for the study stage.

Stage 1

Concept and scoping

Is there a project? Are the big choices and the fatal flaws understood?

Stage 2

PEA

Is the case built on the right options, at the right level of definition?

Stage 3

Pre-feasibility

Is one option selected and supported well enough to carry forward?

Stage 4

Feasibility

Is the design ready for an investment decision, cost and schedule included?

How every finding is built

F

Fact

What the study says or does not say, stated plainly.

I

Impact

Why it matters to value, risk, schedule or the next stage.

S

Severity

High, medium or low, rated against the stage, not against a feasibility standard.

A

Action

What closes the gap, and in which stage it belongs.

Every finding is tied to its source document. No unsourced claims.

01

Fit for stage

Each finding is rated under-mature, at stage or above stage. More work is always possible. We look for the gaps that change the decision.

02

Tested both ways

Missing work, and thin work presented as solid.

03

The seams scored

Studies fail between disciplines. We score how the parts fit together, not only each part.

Delivered as a maturity scorecard, a findings register, an executive workshop and a report. Value-uplift opportunities found along the way are logged separately.

Project examples

Recent work.

Block cave · Study

~US$600M value added

Strategic design work that added value to a block cave study.

Underground stoping · Study review

US$300M+ identified

A maturity review that became the basis for a redesign.

Block cave · Haulage study

Block cave haulage strategy

Four haulage options costed over the life of mine and ranked.

Underground and surface · Simulation

Production system debottlenecked

Underground and surface haulage simulated as one system in GreenLeap.
